Nate Norval

Pastor Nate Norval is originally from Lincoln, Nebraska and relocated to north Omaha in 2015 following his successful career in the United States Army. He was called by the Lord to the pastoral ministry at the historic Zion Baptist Church where he was licensed (2017) and ordained (2020) by the Reverend Kenneth A. Allen Sr. Following his assignment as Minister for Children at Zion, Pastor Nate was called to serve as Assistant Pastor of the Mount Moriah Baptist Church, also of Omaha. 

After a successful tenure at Mount Moriah, he was called to serve as the Pastor of Evangelism & Outreach at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas where he served faithfully until God called him back to Omaha with a vision for a ministry that is Northside Community Church. He has served in several ecumenical roles including as the Chaplain of the Interdenominational Ministry Alliance of Omaha and as Secretary of the Baptist Pastors and Ministers Conference of Omaha. 

In 2017 Pastor Nate received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Purdue Global University, in 2024 he completed a Master of Divinity program at the Virginia University of Lynchburg (VUL), and he is currently a Leonard N. Smith School of Religion Fellow at VUL as he is pursuing his Doctor of Ministry degree. 

He is a dedicated grandfather, father, and the lucky husband of the former Alexis Garner.
